It’s May.
After a combined 40 hours of flying, nine cities, five countries and two continents, I am back on the whenua of Aotearoa.
As you might (or might not) have noticed, although my travels are over (for now) I haven’t finished the five essays I aimed for over my five weeks away. To that I can only say: oops, my bad. Arohamai, 对不起, sorry!
Sure, it was an ambitious timeline to begin with, but other factors—continued freelance work, my regular job, and plain old having-a-good-time—got in the way of the last few essays.
Still, the great thing about running my own project for an audience of friends is that I get to make my own rules and deadlines. So this is a promise that those last two essays are coming. They’re just taking a while. Marinating in my brain, if you will.
In the meantime, thank you for reading and following along. To the pals in Tāmaki—I’ll see you soon, hopefully!
Yes please marinate as much as you need!
